Hull Churches Housing Association has created a new Welfare Fund, designed to support tenants who are suffering financial hardship.

At a time of crisis, we want to ensure help is available for people in our communities in order to stay safe, well, and fed.

We have already made a donation to the Trussel Trust ‘more than homes campaign’ to help support local food banks meet the needs of an increasing
volume of people experiencing hunger.

In addition, our welfare fund will be awarded to tenants where their needs cannot easily, or immediately, be met and financial support is required.

The welfare fund will provide support in areas such as helping tenants with paying for grocery items, essential household items or medication prescriptions where other organisations are unable to assist.

There are clear criteria to ensure these crucial resources are distributed fairly and effectively.

We know that many people need help quickly, so we’re working to make help available as soon as possible.

If you are a Hull Churches’ tenant, please read the information leaflet and download and complete the application form using the link on this page and email it to info@hullchurcheshousing.org.uk with the subject title Welfare Fund.

You can also ask your housing officer or support worker for help with the leaflet and form.

Please appreciate that each case will be dealt with on its own merit and we would ask for your patience as the team will be applying a great deal of attention to the assessment of each application.
